BUFFALO, NY -
The construction of Magtrol’s new TF Series Torque Flange Sensor (TF220/S001) has extended our in-line torque measuring capabilities to 150,000 N·m.
The TF Series Torque Flange Sensor measures both static and dynamic torque on rotating and stationary shafts. They are used in general combustion engine, electric motor, and gearbox test benches. The TF Sensor can also be mounted in-line for active torque monitoring of transmissions, power trains, wind generators, gas turbines, and boat engines.
Advantages of the TF Sensor include: direct mounting capability for easy integration into test systems, highly accurate signal transmission, excellent noise immunity, and shock resistance.
An additional advantage of this torque measurement system is its contactless signal transmission via telemetry. The signal is insusceptible to interference due to the fact that, unlike other designs, the antenna does not need to be looped around the sensor.
Magtrol offers optional integrated speed pickup and high temperature capability for the TF Series Torque Flange Sensor. Our TF sensors are available in torque ranges from 50 N·m to 150,000 N·m. They have an accuracy of 0.1% to 0.25%, an overload capacity of 200% and an overload limit of 400%.
